More Local Government PFI Projects Get Green Lights
A further nine local authority Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects - including a new waste management scheme, policy statements, a transport interchange and there new school projects - are in line to receive revenue support from central government, Local Government Minister Hilary Armstrong announced today.
Publishing the new list, which brings to 51 the total of local government PFI projects endorsed by central government, Hilary Armstrong said:
All the projects, including those on this latest list, will receive revenue support from central government. The private sector consortia bidding for these schemes can be confident that the local authorities can fund side of the deal.
