| CTI ENGINEERING CO., LTD. | ||
| Profile | CTI ENGINEERING CO., LTD. (CTIE) was established in 1963 as a result of
the reorganization of the Construction Technique Institute (CTI), founded
in 1945 to meet the ever-increasing demand for its expertise as Japan worked
to rebuild its infrastructure following World War II. CTIE assumed CTI's
professional consulting services and has expanded these services to encompass
such fields as flood control, water resources development, highways and
bridges, port and coastal engineering, environmental engineering, urban
and regional planning, information systems development and project &
construction management. To meet more sophisticated requirements, CTIE provides comprehensive engineering services ranging from research on social needs in the pre-investment stage to operation and maintenance after construction of the project. Attempts are also being made to create a new field, value-added engineering, which involves investing in the development of new technologies under such themes as global environmental conservation, biotechnology, construction management, ITS and CALS / Electric Commerce. Global contribution to social and economic development has become a fundamental requirement for Japan, and official development assistance to developing countries has been substantial during these decades. CTIE formed an Overseas Department in 1975 to provide more specialized services to foreign governments. In 1999, CTI Engineering International Co., Ltd. (CTII) was organized as a new affiliate of the CTI group of companies, and all overseas operations have been transferred to CTII. To serve its clients more efficiently, CTI Group maintains a number of branch, regional and liaison offices in Japan and other countries, and also conducts ongoing research and technology development to meet specialized project requirements at its hydraulic model testing laboratories and one chemical analysis laboratory. With some 55 years of project experience, thoroughly modern technology, and a highly trained staff of more than 1,000 engineers, technicians and administrative personnel, CTI Group can handle any category of engineering services. The Group Company stands ready to deliver the ultimate in professional services wherever and whenever required. |
